About us We are the Algonquin West ATV Club, located on the west side of Algonquin Park, from the north end of Muskoka, north of Huntsville, to well north and east of South River. We only use roads to connect where we must, and nearly all of those are dirt back roads. Over 80% of our trails are actual trails, deep in the bush, mainly on Crown land. We believe this is the highest percentage in Ontario! Our club is run by a team of committed volunteer directors, supported by many active members who regularly turn out to help us maintain the trails, conduct events, and complete the plethora of things required to manage a serious ATV club properly. We are a Large Granite Quarry located outside Sundridge, Ontario. Rock production is done by means of drilling and blasting from our large granite face. After the blasting is complete the rock is sorted for dimensional or aggregate materials by size, quality and shape. The result is either a quality quarried aggregate or granite landscape products

The Library was once located in the rear if Mrs. Dan Wilson Millinery Store, south of the former Pharmacy. In 1985 the Library opened in it's current location at 39 Copeland street.

Mac Lang was founded in 1932 in Sundridge Ontario by Willard Lang and was originally named Sundridge Garage. It was a repair and gas station that sold Dodge trucks as a sideline. "Mac" Lang, Willard's son, began working at the garage/dealership shortly after the war. In the early 1960's, the name was changed to Mac Lang and, under Mac's leadership, the dealership quickly started to grow. Mac was a rather colourful businessman. He was a no holds barred, tell it like it is kind of person. He added the now famous "Sells for Less" slogan to his advertisements and lived by his words. He knew when he priced a vehicle it was the lowest price available and when people tried to work a better deal he would simply say "That's the price. Take it or leave it." Word started to spread and sales grew. Mac Lang was an early adopter of television advertising buying ads on TV stations all over northern and central Ontario. Many people still remember the ads on television and radio featuring Herb Alpert's Tijuana Taxi in the background which ended with the double honking horn sound effect. That effect is still used in some of our media advertising today. Many past customers can't remember who the salesperson they dealt with was, but they were always quick to say they bought their vehicle from Mac Lang himself. The Farquhar family purchased the dealership from Mac Lang in 1979 and have continued the "Sells for Less" tradition throughout northern and central Ontario offering the best in RAM, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles. The dealership is recognized year after year by Chrysler Canada for it sales leadership in trucks in Ontario and Eastern Canada.

Welcome to the Township of McMurrich/Monteith! We are a small community made up of approximately 800 year-round residents who enjoy the quality of life offered by the Almaguin Highlands. The Township of McMurrich/Monteith has 1,800 residents total, including the summer/seasonal residents. Our Township is proud to be considered one of the Villages of Almaguin! The town centres within McMurrich/Monteith include Sprucedale, Bear Lake and Whitehall. Sprucedale is a quiet community that boasts open spaces at affordable prices. Our communities offer a wide range of services to its residents and have access to most other services within a 15-20-minute drive to Burk’s Fall’s or Huntsville. For recreation, our Community Centre offers a capacity of 194 persons, which can be used for weddings, meetings, dances, exercise classes, craft sales and much more. Beside the Community Centre is the arena, used for skating in the winter, and as an outdoor facility in the summer. Within the vicinity of the Community Centre, we also offer a ball diamond and a soccer field. Come check out our playground that is situated across from the Township office and Community Centre on William Street. We have recently upgraded the Betty Forde playground to include a train for the children, part of the commemorative ceremonies for McMurrich’s 125th Anniversary. As well in 2018 the addition of a playground at the Doe Lake Beach area was installed, located off Almaguin Drive at the end of Birch Court. This playground was donated to our area by Highlands Early Learning and Child Care Centre for the Parry Sound District, Social Services Administration Board

The Township of Ryerson was incorporated in 1880 and named after Dr. Egerton Ryerson, the Chief Superintendent of Education for Ontario from 1844 to 1876, who was the founder of the educational system in Upper Canada (Ryerson University in Toronto is also named after him). Each season of the year has its own attractions. In spring, even before the buds burst open, the tantalizing aroma of syrup making fills the air. In summer the lakes are surrounded by people on holidays, boating, water skiing and swimming. The fantastic beauty of the woods in the fall is almost impossible to describe, with all the glorious colours of red maple, gold birch, yellow popular and evergreens, mixed in just the proper proportions. Then it is winter and the snow is like a soft downy blanket over everything, the air is crisp and cold and oh so fresh! Just right for cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing or an old fashioned horse drawn sleigh ride.
